Kihei, HI (September 2021) – Mana Pacific’s development approach, previously titled the “Moana Pledge” approach, has been certified by the Solar Impulse Foundation as a Certified Efficient Solution.
Solutions that are granted this label have been professionally assessed by three independent experts and ultimately demonstrate “credible environmental and economic performance while outperforming mainstream options.” The evaluation criteria include credibility, scalability, environmental benefits, client’s economic incentive, and seller’s profitability. After rigorous independent expert review, Mana Pacific’s development approach has the ability to accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions through cost-effective financing, aggregating demand, and pooling projects into portfolios that de-risk private investments. Moving forward, governments, utility companies, and other Pacific Island stakeholders will be able to confidently participate in this development model, accelerating the adoption of clean technology in a profitable, proven, and replicable manner.
